Atlanta – March 2, 2010 – As Soul/Pop artist, Priscilla Renea’s new single, “Lovesick,” impacts radio, it’s already been crowned the new favorite among her fans. The mid-tempo emotional declaration has spawned countless covers on YouTube.

Produced by Power Entertainment’s own, Blaq Smurph, “Lovesick,” is the second track off of Priscilla Renea’s debut album, “Jukebox,” which is in stores now. The catchy tune depicts the challenges of a forbidden love. “…and it seemed like if I mentioned you when I was home, all my family said is how I should leave you alone, “ expresses Priscilla. “Lovesick,” the follow-up single to “Dollhouse,” is also one of the stand-out songs, as noted in album reviews. “She delivers well-crafted lyrics on top of strong production,” echoed the Associated Press. Fans will have an opportunity to see Priscilla perform “Lovesick” in March on “The Monique Show” and throughout the summer on the Lilith Fair tour.

POWER ENTERTAINMENT’S PRODUCTION TEAM SHOWS NO SIGNS OF SLOWING DOWN IN 2010

Atlanta - February 16, 2010 - 2010 is off to a great start for POWER Entertainment’s producers, who’ve logged studio time with some of the biggest and rising artists in HipHop and R&B.

Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E. recently hooked up with the Grammy Award winning producers, Justice League for a new project with their artist, Laws. This makes the second collaboration for the Justice League, who previously turned to C.N.O.T.E. for tracks for their other artist, 2 Pistols. “C.N.O.T.E. hooked us up with some ill tracks. He did the intro to the album and another song called ‘Been Throwing Money.’ That dude got a crazy future,” stated Rook, one-third of the Justice League, in an XXL magazine interview.

C.N.O.T.E.’s work has not gone un-noticed by Grammy Award winning songwriter, Nate Walka (“Blame It,” by Jamie Foxx and “Say Ahh,” by Trey Songz), who has tapped him for collaborations, as well. C.N.O.T.E. has also been busy producing for Young Money artist, Short Dawg (“Hands”), Bizzare (formerly of D12), Rocko, Young Joc, Krave (Upfront Entertainment/ Interscope), Tami Chynn (Bu Vision /Def Jam) and Wes Fif. C.E.O., Kenny Kold, set out to assemble a powerhouse of talent when he started Power Entertainment. Kold, who is no stranger to music industry, having success in his group, C-Side, resolved to create a record label, reminiscent of the Motown and LaFace eras. Power Entertainment is the result of his vision, a full-service production studio (the Power Plant), a colorful panel of artists, talented songwriters, and innovative producers, assembled under the rewoP Music banner (Power spelled backwards).

The first artist out the gate is YouTube starlet and Soul/Pop sensation, Priscilla Renea. Her debut release, “Jukebox,” not only showcases her vocal ability but also demonstrates her clever and creative writing, a skill that she honed under the direction of Kold, who discovered the songstress. Priscilla co-wrote all ten of the songs on “Jukebox,” which was released December 1, 2009. Six of the ten song collection were also co-written and produced by in-house producer, Blaq Smurph, also known as JAQDANYELS. Smurph has experienced success with production placements for such artists as the Young Money, Pussycat Dolls, Girlicious, Terell Carter, Ray Lavender, Raheem DeVaughn, and as the music director for Dwele.

Power Entertainment, founded in 2003, isn’t just making an impression in the Pop arena. With South Carolina rapper, Big Maine, Power is making a name in Hip Hop. As Kenny Kold sits in his office at the headquarters of Power / RewoP Entertainment, many would say he has come a long way. While this is true for the young music mogul, he has only scratched the surface. The vision that Kold has outlined for his start-up indie label and professional career has him slated to be alongside the best in the music industry, Berry Gordy, LA Reid and Russell Simmons.

Kenny Kold was literally born to do this. As early as age 2, Kold recalls his father taking him to studio recording sessions. Kold’s father, a dentist by day, a musician by night, recognized his son’s early interest in music and began to nurture it. By age 10, Kold had a drum machine, which came in handy as a church drummer. By middle school, the church drummer had graduated from hanging out in studios to selling beats and producing for local artists from Augusta to Atlanta, Georgia. Kold’s father continued to encourage his son by investing in studio equipment. His investments paid off by high school when Kold put his first rap act together, C-Side. C-Side, the hip hop trio, which Kold also fronted, became his first development project as well. Their breakout hit, “Myspace Freak,” lead to a record deal with Universal.

C-Side’s success established Kold as a rising music tastemaker, discovering and developing quality artists. Before long, Kold was in and out of the studio, working with Keyshia Cole, UGK, Dem Franchize Boyz, Gucci Mane, Big Cat Records, Pastor Troy, Flo Rida, Raheem DaVaughn, and Trey Songz to name a few. These opportunities landed Kold a consulting gig for the A&R of Atlantic Records where he further honed his executive labels skills. Determined to not be boxed in by his previous accomplishments, Kold began to branch out beyond Hip Hop and R&B to Pop music. Many, early on, discounted his ability to transcend into the Pop genre. “They didn’t know the history of Pop, how its origin is rooted in R&B,” recalls Kold.

Following the advice of his mentors, Kold began to submit music for some of the top Pop acts such as The Pussycat Dolls and their protégés, Girlicious. Landing those placements along with the previously named acts put Kold in a position to create his own situation, a one-stop shop for developing artists, songwriters and producers in a state-of-the-art recording facility. The one-stop shop is now known as Power/ RewoP Entertainment and the recording facility is called The Power Plant. His first Power/ RewoP discovery and flagship artist is Pop/Soul sensation, Priscilla Renea, who was discovered on YouTube. With her highly anticipated debut album approaching, Kold is in, yet another, elite circle, where his network of business partners and advisors are Jeff Burrows (former GM of LaFace and Bad Boy Records), Andy Kipnes (veteran entertainment business manager), Bu Thiam, Ceo of Konvict Music/Ceo of Bu Vision/VP of Def Jam), Chris Hicks (EVP of Def Jam), Larry Fri die (veteran business manager of the late James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey and 98 Degrees) and Chris Anokute (Sr. Dir. of A&R Capitol Records). Big Maine - Biography

“Running the streets,” seems to be a colloquialism phrase used by most hip hop artist today. However, for Power Entertainment’s southern rap artist Big Maine, “the streets” are what helped pave his milestone into music. Raised in the “Dodge City,” streets of Aiken, SC, by his grandparents, Big Maine, learned first-hand how to turn a hobby into a hustle.

As his grandmother struggled to provide on a slim income, Big Maine had no choice but to hustle the streets for survival. To isolate himself from the negativity that surrounded him, Big Maine spent many days writing and listening to music. Big Maine began rapping as a mere hobby around his neighborhood. Several of his friends admired his ability to rhythmically re-illustrate lyrics to any beat. Encouraged by his peers, Big Maine soon began promoting and showcasing his talent at various clubs. With local hits like, “Ridin’ High” and “Don’t Be Mad” gaining radio attention, Big Maine’s southern popularity quickly captured the attention of Power Entertainment’s eminent music mogul, Kenny Kold, who ardently asked Big Maine to visit his Atlanta-based studio. After a few studio sessions with in-house producer Honorable C-Note, Big Maine sealed the deal as the first southern hip hop artist signed to Power Entertainment.

Since signing, Big Maine whose musical influences include UGK, Big Daddy Kane, and NWA, has worked with several prominent producers. Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E. - Biography

The beginning of the Honorable C.N.O.T.E.’s journey to music industry recognition is an unlikely one. Growing up in Benton Harbor, MI, there were very little options for a career path. You either buckled down in school for hopes of an academic scholarship; you perfected your cross-over or long pass or hustled on the streets. Being raised first by a single mother then father and later by his grandparents, the latter was inconceivable. It wasn’t until his grandmother took ill that C.N.O.T.E began contemplating alternatives for income, in order to help his family. Against his better judgment, C.N.O.T.E came into manhood by hustling on the streets.

When C.N.O.T.E wasn’t working, he began using music as an outlet and another way out. Originally, C.N.O.T.E thought he was destined to be a rapper. He found that he had a niche for writing rhymes as well as a distinct way of delivering them. “We were getting beats from someone else but we felt like we weren't getting the best ones so I figured I could make beats myself, “ recalls C.N.O.T.E. After receiving a beat machine, the DR5, from a sibling, C.N.O.T.E realized his true calling, as a producer.

Now with a beat machine, C.N.O.T.E began to experiment, thus, discovering a new passion. It wouldn’t be until a chance meeting with an up and coming music executive who moonlighted as a rapper, Kenny Kold, of the group, C-Side, that his life would begin to change. The encounter lead to Kold receiving a CD with tracks. A few months later, Kold called C.N.O.T.E with news that one of his tracks had been selected by Gucci Mane. Determined to maximize this opportunity and new found relationship, C.N.O.T.E took all of his money, bought a one-way bus ticket and departed Michigan for a new beginning in Atlanta. Shortly after, C.N.O.T.E. garnered 2 placements on Flo Rida’s album and prize-placement on the album of Interscope’s platinum-selling girl group, The Pussy Cat Dolls. This was the break that C.N.O.T.E had been waiting for. “The A (Atlanta) has effected my music in a lot of ways. In Atlanta, I run into people that grind hard and that made me grind harder,” admits C.N.O.T.E. This move would prove to be the best decision C.N.O.T.E had made. Within months, C.N.O.T.E snagged additional placements on projects for Juelz Santana, Flo-Rida, Trey Songz, Girlicious, 2 Pistols, C-Side and Gucci Mane. From Hip Hop to chart-topping Pop albums, C.N.O.T.E.’s talent had begun to create a buzz in the music industry.

Now C.N.O.T.E’s discography reads like a who’s who for established record labels, including Def Jam, Atlantic, Interscope, Geffen, Universal Republic and Capitol Records. These key placements clearly defined C.N.O.T.E as a versatile producer, spanning all genres.

The internet is, by its very nature, an open forum; it's manna for aspiring music artists looking to cultivate an instant fan base. Of course, with freedom comes responsibility--that of the artist to use the opportunity wisely and make available good music. Too few do so. The ones who do, however, stand out vividly by comparison. Case in point: budding star Priscilla Renea.

From her bedroom in nondescript Vero Beach, Florida, timidly recording and beaming out the first strains of "I Fell in Love," Priscilla Renea couldn't possibly expect the zealous support she now enjoys. In fact, she wasn't trying to change the world, but merely satisfy her own muse: "I started writing my own songs because there wasn't anything on the radio that I wanted to hear," says Renea. "And when I discovered YouTube, that added a whole new side to my singing. It made my bedroom performances into live broadcasts." With the recent flood of celebrities caught compromisingly on camera, Renea's recordings are fun for the whole family. And while Priscilla waited till senior year of high school to flash her musical wares on the internet, her family had long been exposed to her talents. "My mom always tells stories about how she would walk in the living room and think it was the TV singing, but realize it was me," Renea reveals. "I was two or three years old then!"

Indeed, in growing up, family was Renea's exclusive audience. A child of the Navy, she bounced in and out of twenty schools before finally landing in Vero Beach. Lasting friendships were hard to come by. In turn, she took solace in the blank page, writing poetry, prose, spoken word pieces, and of course, songs. Into the compositions went the energy and emotion typically invested in relationships: "When I write my songs they're always vivid stories, very quirky, and have a lot of personality and character in them." She also taught herself both piano and guitar, and endeavored choirs and musical theater as much as her nomadic lifestyle would allow. YouTube was a revelation--a constant and enduring following no matter where Renea went in the world.

In 2007, Priscilla doffed the webcam and the bedroom carpet for the hefty TV cameras and grand stage of MTV and their Say What? Karaoke show. Fans accustomed to seeing her in a small YouTube window reveled in her fullscreen frivolity. And certainly the effect was cyclical and reciprocal; appearing on MTV pushed her YouTube hits to 1.7 million and her MySpace listenership to over half a million. Public opinion had been levied. Firmly comfortable in her own skin, and offering a uniquely subtle mix of chimerical yet anecdotal pop music, Priscilla Renea was poised for stardom.

To fan the flames and set the proverbial stage, Renea has released the 3-song EP Hello My Apple, featuring a trio of her biggest YouTube compositions: the dignified titular track which waxes on a beau "So hard on the outside but oh-so-sweet on the inside;" the buoyant handclapper "I Fell in Love;" the grand, sweeping "Cry," an exercise in Renea's silver pipes. Though the songs strike disparate, dulcet chords, what resonates throughout is Priscilla Renea's uncanny songwriting chops, honed in a mere twenty years of earthly orbit. "I've always had a way with words," she confesses. "I write songs that people can relate to; when I sit down with my guitar, it sparks my creativity and it's easy for me to pick out a melody and write." Considering her penchant for penning entire tunes in ten minutes --earning her the nickname "The Quickness" --she makes it sound so tantalizingly easy. Her lauded writing work for luminaries such as Brandy and Shakira stands as evidence. The legions of discarded singer/songwriters in her wake would attest otherwise.

Priscilla Renea has now aligned herself with the Atlanta-based production team Power Entertainment (T.I., Ludacris), in support of her forthcoming full-length debut on Capitol Records, Jukebox. It's a fitting title for musical fare that wends from whimsical to worldly to weighty with equal aplomb. The album's external collaborators share exoteric talents: Brian Kidd (Enrique Iglesias, Britney Spears, Nappy Roots) and legendary Danish duo Soulshock & Karlin (Madonna, Seal, Whitney Houston, Keyshia Cole). Who is Blue? All of the above but than a mood or feeling, he is humble and hungry, troubled and talented, magnetic and motivated. Blue's voice grabs your attention while his lyrical ability draws you close.

Growing up in Atlanta wasn't easy for Blue. A graduate of the School of Hard Knocks,

Blue learned early on that life doesn't always deal the best hand.  The everyday struggles of growing up in a single parent home and labeled the black sheep of the family took its toll for Skinny Boy Blue, which he was originally nicknamed. Eventually forced into adulthood too soon, Blue left home as a teenager in search of a better life, better options. Though Blue is only 22, street life has added at least 10 years.
